Jack Martin is a rising junior at Brown University. He is an active member of Native Americans at Brown (NAB), a member of the 2014-2015 Brown Center for Students of Color (BCSC), and the 2014-2015 Co-Chair of Communication and Outreach for the Ivy Native Council (INC). He also enjoys participating in intramural sports (running, basketball, ultimate frisbee). In the future, he hopes to work as a primary care physician on the Navajo reservation in addition to advocating for community youth empowerment and hopefully teach. As president, Jack hopes to facilitate and ignite discussion around how the Ivy Native Council can continue to connect current sutdents, alumni/ae, faculty, tribal communities with each other and engage in and sustain critical and valuable dialogue about issues and actions toward helping tribal communities as well as supporting the narratives and actions of this network.
